HERE’S HOW IT WORKS

1. Make sure your pet is up to date on all vaccinations and have your records available. We require all pets in our care to be fixed for the safety of your pet.

2. Create your account

3. An employee will call you to schedule an assessment test for your dog to see if they are compatible for daycare.

4. Once approved for daycare, purchase your single full or half day visits or purchase our discounted packages

5. You will then schedule your daycare service and apply drop-off and pick-up times for your daily visits

6. Drop your fur baby off for the best time of their lives with other furry friends!

THE ASSESSMENT TEST

Waggy Little Rascals requires all dogs to under go an assessment test to stay within our facility.

Heres a breakdown:

You drop off your pup for about 30 minutes to an hour for a complimentary assessment.

We will call you when they are ready for pickup.

Dogs must pass this test twice with two different handlers.

(Why two handlers? We want to see how they react with multiple attendants.)

There are six categories your pet must pass:

1. Obedience

• Tests to see what commands your dogs knows and if they need training. 

2. Auditory

• Tests the hearing of your dog. This test checks if the brain responds  to noise.

3. Unexpected Stimulus

• Tests any aggression when hearing loud sounds or unexpected sounds.

4. Motion

• Test how your dog walks outside on a slip lead and though the facility.

5. Tactile

• Tests how your dog walks through distraction. 

6. Social 

• Tests how your dog does with other dogs within the daycare and staff. 

Your dog will have this test in a separate room away from any dogs until the socialization portion where they interact with 2 dogs one at a time and then together. 

They are aloud to repeat Obedience, Tactile, and Motion test. They get three tries to complete these if not passed the first time. 

The can not fail, Socialization, Auditory, or Unexpected Stimulus and only have one try to pass.

Why can they not fail these tests? 

Socialization: If your dog fails socialization it means they don’t yet exhibit friendly behavior to other dogs and or people for their training as needed.  We ask you to take your dog to get their behavior corrected and you may reapply for doggie daycare in 6 months.

Auditory: If they fail the hearing test, this triggers a medical concern and would have to be handled by your vetenanrian. Your dogs safety and well being is of the up most importance.  

Unexpected Stimulus: If your dog fails unexpected stimulus that means they can be negatively triggered by common noises and objects and would not make a good fit in daycare.
